NEET-UG 2021 - News and Updates
Everything there is to know about the upcoming NEET-UG 2021 exam, which is required to enroll and study medicine in top medical colleges in India.
Where Do I Start?
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.
NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India.
NEET – UG is conducted every year once in around first week of May, but recently due to ongoing pandemic since last year the dates aren’t fixed.
The exam consists of 180 questions to be solved in 180 minutes i.e. 3 hours.
- 90 Questions of Biology (45 of Botany and 45 of Zoology)
- 45 Physics Questions
- 45 Chemistry Questions
Every Correct answer rewards 4 marks and every wrong answer deducts 1 marks and no penalty for unattempted questions, the total mark you can get is 720.
Before starting to study for the entrance exam, it is recommended to attempt one of the past papers under exam conditions. Though you will likely not be able to solve many of the questions, this will allow you to understand the structure, content covered, and types of questions you will face.
