I’m not vegan, but I’m trying to eat as much as possible plant based meals. I’m trying to do that for two main reasons:
1. As other people said a lot of us don’t eat as much veggies as they should do: I truly believe that is possible to introduce the right amount of micronutrients through the diet and, as consequence, the supplements are not necessary (excluding people with special needs, e.g. anemic people). Since I have started to eat more plant based I have noticed an improvement in my health.
2. The conditions in which animals are living or how they are treat are just horrible. I don’t wanna contribute to it.
I don’t think I’m going to be totally vegan/vegetarian, at least for now. I prefer to eat as “green” as possible and buy animal based product in certain shops, where I’m certain that they respect their animals. For example, here in Italy, in the mountains, we have the “malga”: the cows are free, and in the morning the shepherd milks them, manually. I attach a photo taken from pinterest, cause I don’t have a photo that I personally taken in this computer!
