I’m not vegan, but I’m a Vet Student and I’ve been learning a lot about animal welfare and I think that some people believe that going vegan will solve the problem.
Firstly, people need to be aware that what we now think is obvious, in a couple of years won’t be. This is important because there have been a lot of research on “What if plants can feel too? What if they can feel pain?”, so I’m pretty sure that in a couple of years we will start to see plants in a different way and then what are we going to eat? Air? NO.
This leads to my opinion on veganism:
– Why do you not believe in veganism? There is a “natural food chain” that should be followed, every animal on this Planet has it own “Natural Food Chain”. So, I believe that we should follow our natural food chain.
– This means that you love seeing animal suffer? NO!! OF COURSE NOT!!
– Then what are you doing to stop that suffer?? Well, I believe that the best way to do this is to learn your Country’s policy about this topic. Search it and see how are they implementing those rules. Then read about animal welfare, understand it and suggest and fight for improvements.
Here I only talked about animal welfare, but there are economical issues too related with this topic.
I really wished that people would understand this before going vegan. I think that most of them go vegan thinking that they are doing what needs to be done but that isn’t true, there are MUCH MORE to do!
Well, to conclude I think that people need to be educated to consume less meat and fish. The “Natural Food Chain” is sustainable, the problem is that we are not following it correctly.
Also, I truly respect who decides to go vegan!!!! There’s nothing wrong with that!
Feel free to discuss with me about this topic! I think that we all learn when we discuss different ideias and that our opinions can always change and develop.
(sry about any mistakes – I’m not a native english speaker, so sorry!!!!)
