Physician Associates (PAs) are becoming more prevalent around the world. In the 2021 U.S News & World Report, the profession was named #1 in Best Health Care Jobs 2021 and #1 in 100 Best Jobs in America 2021. Amazing right?
Though, I’m sure most people here have not heard of the role.
So here are some starting questions:
Have you heard of PAs? If yes, what are your thoughts on them? If not, what would you like to know about the profession?
(I’m here as an advocate for the profession and also to raise awareness, for a different route into the world of Medicine.⚜)

Thank you for posting this!
I feel a bit embarrassed because I didn’t know what PA is until I watch a video about Zach from Ninja Nerd Science. 😅
Which year are you in btw?

No worries, and yes Zach and Ninja Nerd Science! He’s such a cool and knowledgeable guy!
I’ve completed the 2 years now (finished jan/Feb this year) and I’ve already passed all my uni exams. Now I am just doing my Registration/Licensure exams to get certified with the Faculty of Physician Associates in the UK. 😇

I think you’ve misunderstood it. They require you to have a medical or healthcare undergraduate degree, as this course is a Masters. However, if you’ve already done a medical degree prior to this, and you dropped out or have not completed the degree, universities will not consider your application. For instance, I completed a 3 yrs Genetics degree, before I was able to apply for this course.😁
